OpenAI limits Cursor’s access to its models

Now, this is Big.

OpenAI is trying to curb Cursor's growth by limiting access to its models.

We can say anything about both Sam Altman and Elon Musk, but clearly they have a rough relationship, now it has impact on infrastructure of AI solutions.

Establishing dominance during a period of low trust between providers is a dangerous path.

For me, though it just confirms the future of Open-Weight models and minimizing dependence on specific vendors.

It appears that my dual Codex + Cursor setup makes even more sense
