FAIR Barcelona 2026: keynote recap

Last Thursday I opened my speech at FAIR Barcelona with a question I have been solving for a while: what would it take to build JARVIS for HR?

JARVIS is helpful as it knows Tony Starks world and can interact with the tools around him. HR has all that context too, it just lives in policies, old decks and experts' heads, and every new case means someone has to stitch it back together.

So the idea I shared was a digital twin of the HR function, one that carries that context and the judgment behind it into the work itself. Done well, it takes most of the stitching off peoples plates.

We now know numerous stories of senior HRs saving days of their time on processing, and that the time went back into the conversation with the business.

That led to the challenge I left with the room. We keep hearing that AI brings no return, and maybe thats because we judge the tool as if it were the product. The product is the work. Find one friction, fix it, measure it, then help people fix the next one on their own.

Thanks to everyone I met in Barcelona for the conversations, the pushback and the good questions. And a big thank you to the Fair Cultures team for having me and for such a well-run event.
